Grace House is a network of safe places for the once tossed aside and forgotten Dear Ones—sex and labor slave survivors, domestic abuse survivors, homeless, addicted, abandoned elderly and mentally and emotionally ill and physically challenged, burn survivors, factory and farm accident survivors, incarceration survivors—survivors of trauma, isolation and having no one and nothing.
Men and children coming out of prison and off the street have nothing, nowhere to live, no one looking for them or going through life with them, and no plan. Most have serious physical and mental health problems and require long-term care and cannot support themselves. Others are able to learn a trade, gain a career and become independent. Others are just very young and need help with life skills in a safe environment until they mature. And some are elderly and need a family to care for them through their last days.
Gotta Go reaches and rescues these Dear Ones, with some coming to Grace House, where Gotta Go centralizes services and a loving community, offering the Gospel, discipleship, housing, counseling, medical care and health education, life-skills training, vocational training and job placement, infant and child care and training… and a place to rest, to be still, and experience: He is God.
Most of the men and women are physically and emotionally broken to the point that when they first come out of their situation, they can barely function. So, it is crucial they have a safe place to rest, receive medical care and counseling, to help slowly rebuild their identity in Christ.
We also reunite mothers and fathers with their children whenever possible, so they can begin to heal together. And many Dear Ones are pregnant when they come to Grace House. It is an honor to welcome new life into the loving and safe Grace House community.
Holiday parties at Grace House are a vital tool in reaching these lost, when we invite brothel and slave owners and their slaves still living in the brothels and construction sites and hotels, to come eat with us, sing songs and hear testimonies of women transformed through Christ. These parties are vital in building trust with the women so they are more likely to believe we will help them instead of just sell them like others have done before. Many of the slave owners also become Christians at these parties, often resulting in immediate freedom for their slaves and revival for their families and network of colleagues.
Through focusing on God’s love and salvation, these lost and forgotten come to know they are loved in Christ and cherished as children of their Heavenly Father.
We thank God for Grace House and dedicate this place to Him and His vision for Unreached Regions.
